The People Operations Coordinator reports to the Sr. People Business Partner and assists to maintain an impactful employee experience, supporting all elements of the employee lifecycle from onboarding through to offboarding.
Responsibilities

- Act as a point of contact for onboarding new team members and creating a unique onboarding experience.
- Manage new hire activities, including HRIS set up and pre-orientation management, I-9 verification, and E-verify.
- Respond to and triage questions from team members with a timely, friendly, accurate approach.
- Support People Operations team in creating documentation and implementing various People-related policies, practices, and processes.
- Maintain, audit, and update employee records in all HRIS systems
- Assist with data reporting and compliance activities, including managing benefits reporting requirements, non-discrimination testing, etc.
- Collaborate with People Ops & Partners to support People and Experience programs (e.g., Performance, Engagement surveys, employee experience projects).

What You Bring

- 2-3 years of solid Coordinator experience in a fast pace high-tech start-up.
- A passion around People Ops in general with a progressive approach to creating powerful employee experiences
- Solid organizational skills, a multi-task mentality, and the ability to meet multiple deadlines and be proactive
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and exercise proper judgment in maintaining the confidentiality
- Ability to have excellent time and project management abilities
- A friendly and helpful approach
- An enthusiastic approach to take initiative, solve problems, lend a hand, and learn about People Ops and the Employee Experience.
This role is open to either our San Carlos or Austin office
We are a mission-driven and well-funded startup, backed by the likes of YCombinator, Pathbreaker Ventures, R7, and Crosslink Capital. We are headquartered in San Carlos, CA with our primary production greenhouse facility located in Gilroy, CA and Lockhart, TX.
