Job Summary:
Cai Foods is seeking a hands-on, plant-loving Cultivator and Plant R&D Specialist to join our innovative team. In this role, you’ll play a key part in daily farming operations while spearheading research and development for hydroponic wasabi cultivation. Responsibilities:
Manage daily farm operations and maintain cultivation systems
Monitor environmental conditions and plant health
Collect, analyze, and document growth data for R&D
Collaborate with internal teams and external experts in plant science, engineering, and business strategy
Assist in facility development and expansion, including environmental controls, and equipment selection
Qualifications:
Passionate about plants and agriculture
Prior experience in horticulture, hydroponics, or indoor farming – or hold a degree in a related field
Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting trays of plants
Thrive in a dynamic, evolving startup environment
