About the Position:
We are looking to expand our Quality Department with a detail-oriented individual who shows an interest in sustainability, food safety, and assisting in the growth of Edible Garden AG Inc. This full-time hourly position is a great opportunity for those who have a desire to learn about next-generation farming and make an impact. As a Development Associate, you will be actively involved in multiple areas of the business ranging from daily facility operations to future planning.
Role Responsibilities:
Familiarize yourself with Company’s Standard Operating Procedures and Food Safety System
Actively perform inspections including but not limited to incoming raw materials, pre-operations inspections, and outgoing shipment inspections
Assist in maintaining, completing, and reviewing relevant food safety documents and logs
Be an active participant in Company’s Sustainability Team with strong focus on process & packaging developments and practices that can be adopted to be better stewards of the planet
Ensure employees are meeting requirements and following Company’s SOPs
Accurately review/upload completed documents to Company’s storage space
Investigate and complete Grant options and proposals for Edible Garden’s facilities
Assist in developing strategies and performing research for more sustainable, innovative business practices
Gather, organize, and analyze data to be used for reporting to various platforms
Desired Qualifications:
4-year degree from an accredited university or 1-year relevant job experience
Extremely Detail-oriented with an eye for accuracy
Motivated Self-Starter with ability to handle and address changing priorities
Can complete tasks to company standards and in a timely manner
Strong time management and communication skills
Excellent communication skills; ability to communicate effectively with all levels, when necessary.
Proficient computer skills required. Experience operating in a Windows environment, managing files, and handling data.
Ability to work independently and as a team member, taking ownership of projects and deadlines
Prior experience with Grant writing and proposals a plus!
