The Director of Talent Acquisition is responsible for developing, building, and implementing our talent acquisition strategy and creating an impactful candidate experience. You will be a strategic partner reporting to the VP of People.
What You’ll Be Doing

- Define, build, and drive the hiring strategy and candidate experience
- Work with the internal marketing team to build out a Strong Employer Brand
- Develop relationships with organizations that align with our strategic hiring goals, candidate experience approaches, and DE&I goals while implementing the best internal technology and tools
- Partner with hiring managers to cultivate a hiring culture that reflects the values of Iron Ox
- Mentor and guide team of Recruiters
- Define the team metrics, and create analytics to drive successful hiring
- Manage recruiting budgets, knowing how to strategically invest in programs, resources, technologies, and tools, ensuring we are at the forefront of innovation around the candidate experience and hiring practices
- Partner with the People team to create a smooth handoff to the new-hire onboarding program focused on creating a sense of belonging and accelerating time to impact new team members and their employee experience
- Create streamlined and consistent communication processes
What You’ll Bring
-
- 5-7 years experience in strategy formulation and execution, planning, implementation, measurement, and analytics in a start-up environment
- Proven experience managing, coaching, and leading a successful talent acquisition team from sourcing to nurturing talent at scale, or similar experience managing a recruiting team in a startup environment.
- Passion for creating an impactful candidate experience and building streamlined processes
- Full life-cycle recruiting experience
- Experience managing distributed talent acquisition teams, refining recruiting processes, tracking analytics, developing and implementing strategies.
- Experience partnering with and influencing hiring managers to focus the candidate experience and successful hiring strategies
- Have built extensive networks focused on support hiring, employment brand, and objectives
- You are comfortable creating and leading initiatives. You communicate with all organizational levels and have an appetite for building from scratch.
- Know how to use data to tell a story, whether it be to define the team’s success or to determine the efficacy of the program, tool, or product
- Have experience supporting both Technical and non-technical divisions + Director-level and above roles
