Farm Engineer [Mechanical] @ ARCHISEN Full Time

As a Farm engineer, member of the engineering team, you will collaborate with engineers and scientists to develop systems that will revolutionise agriculture. Your task will be to design, evaluate, and improve the process flow of innovative systems developed to automate various farm operations. This is a highly creative role and you will be intimately involved with the engineers in all stages of product realisation from concept, design, and prototyping to building, testing and maintenance of these systems.

What we Expect from you?

• System integration, testing and troubleshooting
• Presenting designs to management
• Provide technical and engineering services for farm operations
• Keeps equipment operational by coordinating maintenance services; following manufacturer’s instructions and established procedures
• Maintaining and modifying equipment to ensure that it is safe, reliable and efficient

Requirements

• Basic knowledge of engineering materials
• Familiar with CAD software
• Able to read and understand components specifications
• Functional comprehension of mechanical engineering drawings, piping schematics, operations and maintenance manuals
• Be able to analyze, diagnose a problem and provide an effective solution
• Demonstrated ability to be a self-started and independent thinker
• Good analytical, interpersonal, and communication skills

Bonus Requirements

• Experience with electrical design
• Experience with arduino products
• Experience with hydroponics/aquaponics
• Hands-on experience with power tools and electronic equipment such as soldering etc.
