Responsibilities:
We’re searching for an IoT Embedded Linux engineer who will be in charge of our system’s automation processes. You will be responsible of taking charge in the development of a strong and reliable connection between hardware, such as a sensor network and actuators, and back-end data pipeline.
You will be in charge of one of the core parts of the system by making the farming modules “smart”. Join our energetic team of developers in Berlin and work for something that actually matters!
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s / Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience
Multiple years of software development experience in Python. C/C++ is a plus
Good Knowledge of Linux, including shell scripting, debugging, and troubleshooting
Experience configuring common communication interfaces (UART, SPI, I2C, CAN, etc.) for Embedded Linux
Experience with protocols using CAN, Ethernet, Modbus TCP/IP, PLC, and Serial.
Having a good understanding of using IP based protocols, such as MQTT, SSL, and HTTP
Proficient with git and git workflows.
Nice to have:
Good knowledge of relational databases, e.g. MySQL
Basic cloud computing experience with AWS and/or Google cloud.
Basic experience with Docker, and DevOps skills
Few years of experience working with agile teams (e.g. Scrum, Kanban)
You have excellent communication skills in English (oral and written)
