Vertical Farming Manager – Berlin

Our urban vertical farming startup is looking for an experienced and innovative vertical farming manager to join our young, motivated team in Berlin. In this role, you will help design and optimize our indoor growing systems, develop new and sustainable cultivation methods, oversee plant health and development, and supervise and mentor a small team of growers.

As our vertical farming manager, you will:

Work closely with our team to design and enhance our indoor vertical farming systems and operations
Research and develop innovative, eco-friendly growing techniques and practices
Oversee day-to-day plant care including monitoring health, nutrition, irrigation, and environment
Supervise, train, and mentor a small team of growers and cultivation technicians
Monitor crop production and quality control from seed to harvest
Continuously evaluate and refine cultivation methods for efficiency and sustainability
Stay up-to-date on advancements and best practices in indoor urban farming
We are looking for someone passionate about sustainable agriculture, experienced in hydroponics and indoor farming, and excited to join a fast-paced startup environment. This is an opportunity to play a key role in a budding company aiming to revolutionize urban food production.

You should have a completed degree in agriculture or a related field. We require someone creative who can think outside the box, collaborative team player, data-driven with analytical skills, and able to take responsibility and ownership of projects.
