PLC Engineer @ PlantLab Full Time

To implement our technology worldwide, we are looking for a passionate PLC Engineer for our Development & Projects department. You take responsibility for the delivery and further development of our software solution that controls our leading vertical farming technology. We are looking for someone who enjoys the challenge of rapidly scaling up our company and is willing and able to take on more responsibilities.

Our mission is to radically make the food chain more sustainable and shorter. For the development and commissioning of our Plant Production Units (PPUs) we use a combination of both plant and technical knowledge. For our locations ‘s-Hertogenbosch and Amsterdam, we are looking for an enthusiastic PLC Engineer who can contribute to the technical side of this combination! Your role

To implement our technology worldwide, we are looking for a passionate PLC Engineer for our Development & Projects department. You take responsibility for the delivery and further development of our software solution that controls our leading vertical farming technology. We are looking for someone who enjoys the challenge of rapidly scaling up our company and is willing and able to take on more responsibilities.

Your responsibilities and activities will be:

• You are responsible for commissioning our PLC Code, improving existing systems (in projects) and testing them regularly.

• You configure existing PLC code and make (small) improvements and changes in this existing code.

• You manage and document PLC code and its configuration.

• You are responsible for a perfect system handover to the end user, and train them in their use.

• You monitor and perfect the system during the first weeks of its operational phase.

• You will work closely with our Software team. This team is responsible for the development of software within our farms, from PLC to high level Controls Software.

Your profile

• You have a Bachelor and/or Master degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Software Engineering, Control Systems or a similar study.

• You have >3 years of relevant work experience in a similar position.

• You have experience with HVAC installations.

• Experience with Saia Burgess PLC-software is an added bonus, not a requirement.

• You are a team player, but you also take care of your own responsibilities.

• You are organized in your work, but also flexible.

• You are willing to travel abroad.

• International experience is an advantage.

• You have a good knowledge of the Dutch and/or English language in word and writing.
