The Production Worker assists in cultivation and harvesting of produce and performs essential tasks needed on a daily basis for efficient operation of warehouse and greenhouse activities.
Essential Functions:
Plants a variety of heirloom herbs following organic growing practices
Assists with planting, maintaining, harvesting, washing and storing produce
Sorts, portions, packages and labels produce for shipping
Inspects produce to ensure high level of quality
Maintains safe, clean, and organized work areas
Support the harvesting of all greenhouse areas following sustainable harvesting practices
Performs other related duties and projects as business needs require at the direction of management
Minimum Qualifications: The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and ability necessary to successfully perform the essential functions of the position.
Education and Experience:
Minimum of one (1) year of relevant work experience preferred

Physical Demands: The physical demands listed below are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this position.
Ability to stand for long periods of time, walk, reach with hands and arms, as well as stooping, kneeling, crouching and climbing.
Ability to occasionally lift up to 100 pounds, often lift up to 50 pounds, and constantly lift up to 25 pounds.
Ability to maneuver throughout Company facilities, including negotiate stairs in some locations.
Ability to see at close and distant ranges, as well as peripheral vision to notice safety hazards.
Ability to demonstrate normal manual dexterity and eye-hand coordination; maintain corrected hearing and vision to normal range.
Work Environment: The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this position.
Primarily in a greenhouse/warehouse environment with frequent exposure to seasonal conditions which may range from extreme heat and humidity in the summer to cold in the winter. Direct exposure to loud noise levels and moderate levels of dust, allergens and other chemicals.
