Sales/Buyer @ PlantLab Full Time

We are looking for an allround buyer with a focus on our project scope and supply chain. To support construction of new farms we purchase technical components and systems. In this role you’ll be responsible for the entire purchasing process and the development and execution of strategy of bulk purchasing, supply chain and shipping.

For the development and commissioning of our Plant Production Units (PPUs) we use a combination of both plant and technical knowledge. For the support of our national and international growth we are looking for an allround buyer with a focus on our project scope and supply chain. Your role

The Projects department – in which you will work – consists of Engineers, Work Planners, Site- and Project Managers. You’ll report directly to the head of the department. This team will grow steadily with the organization, as we build new Plant Production Units (PPUs) in various countries. To support construction of new farms we purchase technical components and systems. In this role you’ll be responsible for developing and executing strategy of bulk purchasing, supply chain and shipping.

Your responsibilities and tasks will include:

• Develop a purchasing, supply chain and shipping strategy.
• Daily procurement & organization with the planners and administration.
• Contract management with suppliers, by creating framework agreements, one-off purchases, SLA’s, etc.
• Building the purchasing discipline within PlantLab at a tactical and strategic level.
• Working closely together with the Project Managers and their project teams to reach PlantLabs goals.
• Keep up with market trends (competition, price increases, delivery times, etc.). Take changes in the market into account and adjust the purchasing strategy accordingly.
• Advise management on the purchasing & supply chain strategy.

Your profile

• Minimum Bachelor working and thinking level, preferably with a completed degree in a relevant area of study, such as Business, Commerce or Engineering.
• Nevi 1 or 2 is a plus.
• 5+ years of relevant working experience in a tactical buyer position (preferably in a production or projects environment).
• Experience working in multidisciplinary teams and project teams.
• You preferably have knowledge of HVAC, climate-, light and/or cooling systems, electrical or electromechanical systems, automation and/or energy.
• You have strong communication skills and are a real coach to the team.
• You feel comfortable in a company under construction and enjoy building from the ground up, but are also focused on improving existing processes.
