Systems Engineer [IoT/Robotics/Automation] @ ARCHISEN Full Time

As a member of the engineering team, you will collaborate with engineers and scientists to develop systems that will revolutionise agriculture. Your tasks include designing, evaluating, and integrating automation solutions to current systems to optimise farm operations. This role provides opportunities to improve processes, integrate new systems and undertake project management. As a Systems Engineer, you will further enhance and develop novel farming systems that integrate collaborative systems to improve operational efficiency and farm performance. This position requires you to have sound knowledge of electrical and PLC software.

What we Expect from you?

• System integration, testing and troubleshooting
• Maintaining and modifying equipment to ensure safety, reliability and efficiency
• Monitor and test application performance for potential bottlenecks, identify possible solutions, and work with developers to implement those fixes
• Provide technical and engineering services for farm operations
• Liaise with contractors/vendors/suppliers
• Formulate specifications on delivery platforms for embedded systems
• Generate design specification and test cases and/or scripts
• Develop project documentation
• Develop understanding of hardware schematics and datasheets
• Presenting system designs to management
• Provide technical and engineering services
• Test software and hardware interactions from prototype to manufacturing release
• Manage and monitor all infrastructure and system installations, including configurations, testing, and maintenance
• Define innovative approaches to embedded systems development and integration of security aspects
• Works with a team and is proficient in programing languages required by the organisation

Requirements

• Only Singaporeans
• Degree in Electrical/Electronics/Software Engineering
• Minimum 15 years working experience in Automation/Software or related field
• Minimum 5 years’ experience as a PLC programmer, with sound knowledge of electrical and mechanical principles
• Functional comprehension of industrial engineering drawings, operations and maintenance manuals
• Knowledge of communications platforms: Ethernet/IP, DeviceNet, etc is a strong plus.
• Experience participating in solution configurations/overall architecture design and the creation of PoCs to meet customer requirements.
• Experience with design and development is desirable.
• Demonstrated ability to be a self-starter and independent thinker
• Excellent analytical, interpersonal, and communication skills
