Weekend Seeding Operator @ Superior Fresh Full Time

POSITION SUMMARY

*Eligible for up to $750 sign-on bonus*

Seeding Operators are responsible for running the semi-automated seeder and grow cells, and the organization and utilization of growing rafts, growing media, seeds, and related equipment. They will comply with bio-security plans, monitor product equipment effectiveness and performance, clean and maintain equipment and work area daily, and show ownership of the associated equipment.

We are seeking a responsible and reliable individual to join our team as a Seeding Operator on the weekends. However, if you are looking to work both weekends and some weekdays, please let us know. We have both part-time and full-time positions available.

ADDITIONAL POSITION DETAILS

• Pay: $15-$16 per hour

• First/Day Shift – 6:00 AM Start (a few select Mid- or Second Shift operator positions will be available in the future).

• As a farm, we must be flexible and willing to work extended hours, when necessary.

EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES

• Experience as a Greenhouse Technician, preferred (not required)

• Experience as a food or manufacturing machine operator, preferred (not required)

• Must be reliable, punctual, and work well with others as part of a team

• Must have basic reading, writing, and communication comprehension skills

• Must have basic counting, match, and computer skills

• Seeing: Must have close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to focus.

• Communication: Must be able to effectively communicate with co-workers in order to perform the requirements of the position.

• Fingering/Grasping/Feeling: Must be able to perform tasks with both hands to include grabbing and manipulating items and using tools to clean.

• Standing/Walking: Will remain standing for long periods of time and must be able to move about from one area of the workplace to another.

• Climbing/Stooping/Bending/Kneeling/Reaching: Will bend, twist, squat, stoop, kneel, crouch, and reach at or above shoulder level.

• Lifting: Must be able to lift objects up to 50lbs off a pallet, and objects up to 5lbs overhead.

• Pulling/Pushing: Will transport wheeled carts and pallets (with pallet-jacks) with loads of up to 50lbs frequently, and 100+lbs rarely.

• Work Environment: Predominately in greenhouse headhouse – and indoor work area that is connected to the greenhouse, but cooler in temperature. Generally 60’s-70’s year round. Can be dusty.
